High School students in McComb, Mississippi join Telling Their Stories

Civil rights figure Brenda Travis, the catalyst for the voting rights movement that was sparked in McComb, MS, in August 1961, visited Urban last week for the first formal recorded account of her role in that historical event. Students in Urban's oral history class teamed with four McComb high school students who traveled to the Bay Area to interview and publish an oral history of Ms. Travis for Telling Their Stories.
