Marvin Uratsu

Marvin Uratsu was born in Sacramento, California on February 7th, 1925 but spent much of his childhood in Japan, He attended Placer Union High School for nearly two years when he was sent to the Tule Lake internment camp where he spent his junior year. In 1944 he moved to Des Moines, Iowa and joined the army just before completing high school. He served in the Military Intelligence Service and eventually returned to Japan. He settled in Richmond, California working in the financial investment business.
