Mohammed Bilal

Mohammed Bilal was born in 1970. His family moved to San Francisco from the Washington DC and Baltimore area when he was young, and he attended high school at Lick-Wilmerding. Growing up in the 1980's, he witnessed firsthand how the crack epidemic was able to spread through the redeveloped Fillmore and Western Addition. He gained some TV recognition as a resident of tumultuous the San Francisco Real World house in 1994. Mohammed continues to inspire through music and speaking engagements, frequently at the Urban School. (EW '09)
